Audi R8 Ground Clearance

Audi R8 Ground Clearance

Fully redesigned last year, this mid-engine super sports car shares its engine and underlying structure with the Lamborghini Huracan. Though it looks decidedly less dramatic by comparison, its performance is anything but.

While the seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission is happy to engage launch control and fling the R8 ahead at exhilarating speeds, it’s just as happy loping around town at low speeds. The interior contains a large digital display gauge cluster, while the adaptive dampers on the all-wheel-drive models ensure a calm, daily-drivable ride. The Spyder’s folding soft top takes 19 seconds to open or shut, and it can do either at vehicle speeds up to 31 mph.

Clearly, the genius of the R8, past the born-for-Hollywood design of the original, is how it pairs incredible performance with real-world drivability.

Audi R8 Ground Clearance Driver’s Guide

Audi R8 is a stunning 2-seater coupe that has a low ground clearance of 160 mm. Such a ground clearance is considered poor for Indian roads as you can easily get the lower chassis of your car hit by the rough terrain beneath. In general, a 2-seater coupe offers minimum of ground clearance making them not much successful for daily use in India.

If you have lots of speed breakers and rough patches on your way to work or you like to go riding on rugged terrains, this vehicle is not for you! The major rivals of this model in this price segment also offer a smiler ground clearance value like Porsche Cayman offer a comparable ground clearance of 115 mm whereas Jaguar XK offer a lesser ground clearance value of 100 mm.

These stats clearly indicate that such vehicles are best for those people in India who usually drive on smooth, large and well-structured highways or have a passion of zooming on race tracks.
