Honda Fit Ground Clearance

Ground clearance (also acknowledged as Ride height) defines the interval from the bottom spot of the auto’s underbody and the edge of the tires’ touch with the smooth surface. Still, the manufacturer of the model might exploit tiny tricks to the fixed procedures to make winsome estimation suggesting the valid stretch from the shock absorbers, the engine oil pan or the muffler to the track is slighter than mentioned in the printed leaflet.

It is no surprise as long as rational shoppers opt for a heightened ground clearance to eliminate trouble when parking near the barriers or driving through the non-unran landscape. The explicit ride height of the model varies between 135 to 150 mm depending on the year of creation and equipment. Don’t forget that a heavy- packed car will surely miss about 1 inch of ground clearance.

Fortunately, the model ground clearance can be raised with spacers for shock absorbers to make the vehicle sit higher off the ground. While getting a taller model, you lose a small chunk of the erstwhile balance and flexibility driving fast. On the contrary model ground clearance can be lowered in order to get sharpened handling and stability.

There a number of ways to increase ground clearance. When it comes to lifting or lowering your Honda Fit you can choose between bigger tires, a leveling kit, coil spring assisters, coilovers, airlift suspension, suspension lifts, etc.
